Farewell, my friends
By Paul Bearer

On Oct. 14, 2002, my current contract with World Wrestling Entertainment will end. I have reached a crucial crossroads in my life where some important decisions must be made. It is with mixed emotions that I regret to inform you that I am moving on.

To say that the past 12 years were nothing short of fantastic would be an understatement. I have fulfilled virtually every dream that I ever envisioned and more. I have had the honor of working with the most talented people in our industry.

I would like to offer a very special word of thanks to you the fans, because with out you there would have never been a Paul Bearer. I also cannot walk away without mentioning some other people who have been very special to me. I would like to thank the McMahon family, the Undertaker, Kane, Mick Foley and Vader; these are truly the people that allowed me to be all that I could be. Notwithstanding the folks here at WWE.com, who were always there for me and gave me the honor of writing my column every week since the very beginning.

All I can leave you with now are memories. Memories become a part of your thinking process. That isn't a bad gift. Is it? Don't cry because it is over. Smile because it happened.

God Bless!
